How It works
The cost of offsetting that Carbon Footprint is approximately £99 per year.
For £99, we will recycle 4 tonne of plastic destined for landfill therefore negating your Carbon Footprint.
Not only will you be offsetting your Carbon Footprint, but it will be the first step in supporting environmental sustainability and combatting climate change.
Although a global problem, each individual can help to do their part.
“We wanted to create an easy, streamlined service for customers who wanted to offset there carbon footprint every year.”

FAQs
Why should I offset my carbon footprint through Carbon Points?
Carbon Points will offset your carbon footprint by recycling plastics that would otherwise end up in landfill.
Why does landfilling plastics harm the planet?
Plastics that end up in landfills contribute to our Carbon Footprint and harm the planet in several ways. The key factor is that plastics disposed of in landfill undergo a process called anaerobic decomposition where they break down in the absence of oxygen. Methane Gas is then released into the atmosphere. Methane is up to 84 times more potent than Carbon Dioxide in terms of its impact to Greenhouse Gases and global warming.
What is the cost to offset my Carbon Footprint?
On average, the cost of offsetting your annual Carbon Footprint is approximately £99 per year. This is based on a global average of each individual emitting 4 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide through their daily activities.
What are the key benefits to offsetting my Carbon Footprint?
1- Reducing carbon emissions: Recycling hard to use plastics reduces the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere when compared to producing new plastics from raw materials.
2-Saving energy: Recycling plastics requires less energy than producing new plastics, leading to lower energy consumption and reduced carbon emissions.
3-Diverting waste from landfills: Recycling plastics prevents them from ending up in landfills, where they can release harmful gases and leach toxic chemicals into the environment. Only 9% of plastics are recycled.
4-Protecting wildlife: Recycling plastics reduces the amount of plastic waste that can harm wildlife, such as marine animals that ingest or become entangled in plastic debris.
5-Mitigating climate change: By reducing carbon emissions and conserving resources, recycling plastics plays a key role in mitigating climate change and promoting a more sustainable future.
